As someone with expertise in software development and applied mathematics, you have strong problem-solving skills. While working on complex challenges you pursue sophisticated solutions. We welcome you to work alongside a team of dedicated engineers who are designing and implementing network and schematic interactive visualization software. Some of the most complex network hierarchies and objects in the world, such as electrical or telecommunications networks, are being modeled by Esri’s ArcGIS software for critical infrastructure design and management. These challenges require creative design and implementation skills.

Responsibilities
-Develop a high-quality product with clean code and a simple interface
-Work closely with the product owner to design algorithms based on user requirements
-Actively participate in product specification discussions, contribute to technical choices, and propose solutions to continually improve diagram rules and layout definitions within ArcGIS
-Maintain superior software quality by performing unit and performance tests to detect errors (bugs) and nonconformities
-Enable Esri’s ArcGIS users in the utility industry by understanding layout requirements and translating them into functional, reliable software
Requirements
-5+ years of experience in algorithmic, structured programming and object-oriented programming
Demonstrated proficiency in C++ (STL, C++ 17, Boost)
-Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
-Ability to rigorously test code and anticipate exceptional and borderline cases
-Demonstrated mathematics skills (geometry, graph theory)
-Working knowledge of relational databases
-Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and test-driven development processes
-Verbal and written fluency in English to effectively communicate with local and international colleagues
-Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field
Recommended Qualifications
-Knowledge of multi-threaded development and architecture
-Understanding of the utilities industry and/or the geographic information systems domain
-Familiarity with Graph Databases
-Experience with C# and WPF
-Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or relevant experience in above requirements for this position
